UProot is a collaborative effort to assess and improve the health of the state of Mississippi.
This effort includes the input of over 90 partner organizations, including business groups, nonprofits, and state agencies. These organizations were convened by the Mississippi State Department of Health beginning in 2014 to complete various components of the State Health Assessment (SHA) and the State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP). These groups have worked hard to candidly evaluate the health issues that are having the greatest impact on Mississippians and develop plans to address these issues together.

Partners
Building a healthier Mississippi requires input from people and organizations with diverse interests and perspectives. More than 90 partner organizations have joined our work groups or contributed to the State Health Improvement Plan! UProot believes that no matter what sector your organization works in within the state, you can play a role in spreading solutions that will improve the health of all of our state’s residents.
